That’s a great question, I think that it takes many things to be an illuminated woman, the most important thing is confidence.  Confidence to me is the foundation and the key for fulfilling all of your dreams.  To be illuminated is to embody the tools so that you have the confidence that you need for this journey.  Whether or not this is an innate quality, your confidence levels can just keep on increasing, and as they do, life just gets better and better!

My name is Rene’ Johnson and I am the owner of Emerggy Coaching. My journey is one of courage and life defining moments, which led me to my life passion and spirit path of coaching. I support professional women to find their voice and value, inspire changes and lead those changes in their lives by tapping into their power zones. I am a strong supporter of women owned businesses and associations and I provide empowered leadership and motivational programs.  I have two daughters and two beautiful grandchildren. What tips do you have to be an Illuminated Woman?

Have a defined personal vision detailing the legacy you want to leave behind. Take daily actions towards it. Be willing to self evaluate often and take risks to grow by changing your thinking or behavior styles that hold you back or prevent others you lead from growing. You must be willing to go to the edge in what you believe in! Find your voice and value, then inspire changes and lead those changes to the finish line.

What do you do daily to seek Illumination?

I start my day out reading one of my inspiring books, meditating and then reading my vision of success out loud. I work throughout the day to find ways to serve other women and bring their passions alive. When I am serving through coaching, I am truly illuminated. I also practice celebrating success and self-care, which allows me to stay confident, inspired and joyful.

I am Marci Loughmiller, a Fitness and Nutrition Expert, Certified Personal Trainer, Nutrition Consultant, Motivational Speaker, Business Owner and mother of 2 little boys.

I am passionate about transforming lives because of my life’s story.  I have overcome eating disorders through education, become a wife and mother, survived an unfaithful husband and divorce, embraced being a single mom of 2 beautiful boys, created and started my business, educated individuals on how to transform their mental & physical lives and I live every day to it’s fullest.

I have an immense passion for what I do now because of my experiences that taught me how to overcome the obstacles I dealt with.  At age 14 I became anorexic and bulimic and by age 18 I realized that my anorexic and bulimic lifestyle had to stop because it just wasn’t worth it.  There had to be a better way.  I labored intensively to overcome my eating disorder tendencies, but continued to struggle with my weight.  The following years I spent feeling tired, sluggish, and overweight, in addition to trying every known fad diet, magic pill, workout program, and quick fix available on the market.

I was fed up with fat!  I wanted to change, but I didn’t know how.  I felt like I had wasted so much time, money, effort, and emotion on all of the available but unsuccessful products.  I then realized the only thing I hadn’t tried was educating myself to understand the human body and how it works.  This was my life transformational moment to not only changing my life but others lives as well.  Education was my self-empowerment.  I studied Nutrition and became a Certified Personal Trainer.  Once I applied the knowledge of how to Eat to be a fat burning machine and exercise to maximize my results, the fat began to fall off.

I love teaching people these principles of how to Eat MORE, work out LESS and Achieve MORE results because you know how to turn your body into a fat burning partner.  It is empowering to know how to live it and do it with ease and it became my deep passion to teach people how to do this so they weren’t a prisoner to their bodies, food, clothes or closet anymore and how to honor their bodies.

I began working in a gym but quickly learned that my philosophy didn’t align with management’s expectations or a typical trainers’ mentality.  I believe in teaching people “how” to get their desired results not merely telling them what exercises to do that day.  When I struggled with my weight I didn’t have $1500 a month to spend on a trainer and $400 for a nutritionist.  I wanted to teach everyone how to do it for the rest of their lives on their own; so they wouldn’t need my help anymore.  I left the gym industry because I was inspired to start my own fitness and nutrition business to help people on a larger scale.

I was inspired to create my business Everlasting Fitness, and product “The Whole Truth About Weight Loss” DVDs and workout program.  Through these DVDs I was able to provide all of the nutrition and fitness secrets that would provide lifetime success.  .

My life completely changed again when I found out my husband had been unfaithful to me, and I knew I had to make a new life that would support myself and my two boys (4 and 1 years old).  I was in a place of devastation.  I didn’t know how I could be a business owner and follow my passion, and also make ends meet being a full-time single mom.  I picked up a job as a waitress to help cover bills because I felt that was the only option I had to support my children and continue to raise them full-time.

I knew that for things to change, I needed to change. I needed to get back to the Marci that I knew I could be and STAND in my POWER and so the process began.  I am now empowered with knowing who I am, my special gifts and talents, and how I can help guide others to health success.

I’ve also had many avenues opened to me that allow me to help people to create change with my hands-on seminars, VIP coaching, motivational speaking, radio shows, and my upcoming products and programs such as a cookbook and CDs for helping empower individuals with knowledge for continued success.

Over the last year I have come to know that I went through my weight struggles, eating disorders, traumatic childhood events and the challenges of becoming a single mother not only to help others but to truly learn how to stand in my own power (not the shadow of another) and to be true to myself and my life purpose.  I believe I am empowering and creating lifetime success one person at a time.

What do you do daily to seek Illumination?

Everyday I create illumination in my life by getting up early to take time for me and invest in myself.  I do this by waking up with an attitude of gratitude to a divine source for everything in my life.  I then write in my creation journal where I write out my affirmations and creations for the day.   I follow that up by writing down things I’m grateful for in a gratitude journal.  I read or listen to something motivational or educational to teach me a new perspective and try to journal my thoughts or understanding on what I learned.  I then get to work out my body in an effective short and sweet workout before my little boys wake up in the morning.  This process helps me to be ready for an amazing day where I am in tune with myself, my boys, the universe and able to flow my love and light to all those whom I come in contact with throughout the day.

About my life:  My name is Deana Leighton, I am married to Darren my best friend, my lover and my hero, he is in every way my mirror and I love his magnificence!  I am blessed with a beautiful 17 year old daughter Shaylee who has always been an inspiring teacher to me, she is a powerful, loving healer committed to be the light and I know her to be a tender and wise spirit.  I am blessed with the opportunity to be a mother to my step daughter Heather (who I simply consider my daughter) a beautiful 23 year old woman who is playful, tender and loving, she is committed to healing the world and I know her to be a youthful curious spirit.  I am blessed with the opportunity to be a mother to my step son Josh who is 25, who I know to be powerful, brilliant and a fabulous father to our grand son Dominic who is 6, I don’t get to see them much they live in Texas and are very busy.

I have 1 cat named Lilly, Shaylee has a cat named Sophie and we have a boxer dog named Roxy, we have a beautiful pond in our back yard with 2 turtles and 15 fish, this is my favorite place in my yard and I love to mediate there!  I have always loved animals ever since I can remember they have been very dear to my heart.  When I was little I would bring home stray animals anywhere I could find them!  I have brought home cats, dogs, birds, turtles, frogs, hamsters and yes even a horse I found in the road!

I love my yard it is my sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of the world.  It is where I love to meditate and connect with mother earth and all of the elements around me and with in me. I love to spend time with my family we love movies so one of our favorite things to do is we all snuggle on the coach (including the 60 lb boxer who feels she has to be right on top of me) and watch a movie. I am so grateful and blessed for all of the joys and miracles I have called into my life.  I know that I continue to create them moment to moment.

My Story:  I love the story of my life; it is full of learning, creation and adventures.  Many people as they have heard my life story have said that they feel my life has been hard, unfortunate, terrible, painful etc., especially my child hood.  Several of my experiences at the time they occurred of course were many of the ways others described them, however that feeling did not last for long.  I have experienced as a child my parents getting divorced when I was about 3 I don’t recall anything about my Father, my mom was remarried 3 more times, I grew up with my parents always being addicted to drugs and alcohol and selling or trading drugs.  I am the second to the oldest child and I grew up the only girl until I was 12 when my mother had my younger sister and brother.  I remember feeling very lonely most of my life growing up my brothers had each other, my mom was always sick or passed out from something so I had my animal, which explains my love for them=).  I was physically abused, sexually abused and emotionally abused.  I was kicked out of my home when I was 15 ½ years old and have been on my own ever since. I was date raped in high school, my first husband had an affair, after which I got divorced and remarried to an emotionally abusive man which after 7 ½ years I divorced and have now been remarried to my twin flame and soul mate for 5 glorious years.

Of course there were many other things that occurred through out my life time up to this point, however the reason I mentioned the things that felt hard and painful, the very things that people could say “oh wow you had it so hard”, or “you have been such a victim to others how have you done it”? Those very things have created the opportunity for me to learn that every pain every joy every heart break etc., that I am not those experiences.  Those experiences have assisted me in remembering the true me.  My life has been a journey orchestrated so beautifully and perfect for me to remember my magnificence.  The Goddess that I truly am, my life experiences to me have been a true love story for I have learned to love myself unconditionally!  I am grateful for every person who assisted me in these lessons for I know that they showed up exactly as they promised to for me to remember and own who I am, I am an Illuminated Woman I feel powerful, connected, inspired, forgiving, passionate, sensual, tender, a creator, I am every quality of Mother God, I know it, I live it and I am committed to assist other women to remember it with in them selves for we are all the essence of Mother God.

What it means to me to be an Illuminated Woman: I feel to be an Illuminated Woman is to radiate the essence of Mother God who is within each of us; to know ourselves at a universal level; to be conscious of the difference between the truth and the fiction.  The truth being that we are magnificent radiant beings of love and light, and the fiction being anything other than the truth.  An Illuminated Woman not only owns her magnificence, she also shares it and radiates it to others opening the space for them to embrace their magnificence.  We are all Illuminated Women, we simply get to remember it, live it and embrace it!

The tips I would offer to be an Illuminated Woman: I feel we are all already Illuminated Women, so the tips I offer are to first and for most re-member it.  What I mean by this is be committed enough to your self to seek your truth, read, learn from others, search for your truth it is every where around you, I am a firm believer that we are all Gods hands, be open to truth from all places and simply take what resonates within you and live it.  Do what ever it takes to move past the fear, the limiting beliefs, the self doubt, beneath all of that is your truth, you have it with in you, it is not something that another person can give to you, and you already have it.  Others can assist you in remembering it, they can hold up a mirror for you to see it however it is up to you to embrace it to believe it and to re-member it and to own it.

What I do daily to expand my Illumination: I take the time to meditate, I make sure that I am open to spirit, my goal and desire is to live my life from a place of balance between my spirit and my mind.  Moment to moment I take inventory on how I am feeling, this is how I keep in check if I am out of balance.  My feeling let me know for example if I am feeling tense or frustrated I know that is not serving me so I handle what is creating that with in me, usually it is my thoughts and I simply make the choice to shift them to positive ones.  I speak often to the Universe, I stay conscious of what I am thinking and there for creating.  I am tender with my self, if I create an undesired result I take a look at it and notice how I created it so I can be conscious to create my desired result instead of an undesired one and the biggest part of that is being neutral about it, I am conscious to keep judgment out of my space.

The reason it would serve for every woman to attend this event: It is time for you to honor yourself, to remember the magnificent radiant beings that you are, to share your light with others and receive the gift of their light to you.  As we share of our light it radiates out to the entire world. For I know that world is hungry for this love and light that only you can give.

Tell us about yourself, your story, what you do?

Hi, I’m Christie Mawer; the oldest of 3 girls, owner of two boy cats Marlowe the Siamese and Griffon the orange Tabby, single and loving it (most of the time), in deep love with my niece Emily and a woman who always dances like everyone is watching enthralled.

I love change – personal change, change of life circumstances, change by way of challenging oneself.  Creative at my core, I am always looking for the next fun project or person.    Remarkably I have been teaching pole dancing for nearly 5 years.  Last year I created THE BAD KITTY to marry my love of dancing with my love of helping others discover themselves and empowering them to make big – and small – changes in their lives.

I’ve found that this form of dance immediately releases the sense of fun and freedom in every woman, no matter how shy or reserved.   My goal is to reach women all over the world to teach them about their Authentic Sensuality and release them from living in that sense of overwhelm caused by the Martyr Complex.  I am on the road to becoming the International Expert on Authentic Sensuality.

I love what I do.  I love my life.  I love the beautiful things that have come to me since I’ve gotten clear on my direction and taken steps to live up to what the universe has in store for me.

Hi Everyone! I’m Angela Johnson and I love what I do. I began my journey of working with women seven years ago when I started Intention Jewelry. I had the opportunity to create custom handcrafted jewelry for women that matched their essence and inner beauty. When I saw women light up when they wore the pieces I knew I loved that process of supporting a woman’s authentic core beauty. I’ve worked in the corporate world and have always had an entrepreneurial spirit so when I was laid off I took it as a perfect sign to finally focus all of my efforts on my passion of empowering women. I run Biz Divas, a networking group that empowers women entrepreneurs with business education, inspiration and powerful networking. This evolved into working with all women with Illuminated Woman. I am so excited to see the shifts we are creating already with this movement of illuminating women. I’m thrilled to see what we will continue to create!

Using my journey of being empowered is the critical experience that makes me compassionate and loving to support everyone around me in reaching their dreams. The one thing I never get tired of is seeing when people see their dream life and make the connection that they have the power to absolutely create it because they DESERVE it.

What are your tips for being an Illuminated Woman?

Take time for yourself. Even just five minutes a day. Set your intentions for the day – look at yourself in the mirror and honor what you see. Acknowledge yourself for how far you have come and have gratitude. Gratitude is the quickest way to change your energy to be a match for what you want. Have at least one person in your life that you can be vulnerable with, someone who supports you in being the amazing person you are. If you feel alone and that you don’t have that, then be open to the possibility to be that for someone else. When you give, it opens your life up to receive that beautiful gift in return.

How do you seek Illumination?

I meditate regularly and write in what I call my dream journal. Instead of journaling what has happened, I journal about my goals in present tense as if they are currently happening. This supports my love to daydream and imagine my ideal life – it’s the place where everything is possible. I love to be artistic and make jewelry, it’s like a meditation for me. I also LOVE to spend time with my friends and family. I am so blessed with the most remarkable people in my life and make a point to give myself time to be present with the people I love. Also, I give myself time to just BE (I have to remind myself to slow down sometimes) and to have down time.

My name is Michelle McMullin, and my path to Illuminated Woman took a long turn through the hotel industry. I have worked in hotel management for the last ten years. Recently I have discovered that the organizational and operational skills from hotel management give me a unique opportunity to work with entrepreneurs with amazing ideas to discover the steps that roadmap the success they are looking for in their business.

Being an Illuminated woman simply takes the willingness to be the best of who you are. Whatever your passion is, you can have it, be it, achieve it.

Back when I started the Clarity journey 15 years ago I was leading a reasonably good life. My career had been good, my marriage was good and I enjoyed my family.
Yet there was challenge. I realized that I had lost my passion for my work. I started asking; what’s next? What do I want to do that has meaning, and purpose
and that ignites my passion?  I read books, listened to tapes, attended seminars, read newsletters and while I did gain a lot of knowledge and how-to advice, I never got the “what” and NEVER got anything about my passion.

I realized there had to be a different approach, a counter-intuitive approach, and I summoned up the courage to change directions and leap into the unknown. There is a Zen Saying “Leap And The Net Will Appear” – that’s what I did! I left my “safe” career and started my journey to Living Lights On. During the next 18 months I refined my focus and learned new distinctions between passion, energy and life purpose. I began operating with a new model that Learning = Behavior Change. No longer was learning about gaining more knowledge. I realized that true learning meant I had to apply it in my life by changing my own thoughts and actions in order to attract the life of passion, energy and joy that I so desired.
I realized there was a huge gap between the theory of energy and passion and the actual practice of discovering my energy and passion. I kept studying and learning and following my energy… I was having fun. I began to look and feel years younger, like a new person. By the end of my 18 months I had become so radiant that people began to ask what I was doing and they began to ask if I could guide them to achieve similar results. This was the clue that sparked the creation of Clarity and the Lights-On Learning Method(R).
The energy of my life had become so noticeable that I began to attract new relationships and business opportunities. Clients began “showing up” immediately and I noticed I was attracting people with a vision for creating a better life. Applying the lights on learning method allowed me to “see” who was showing up to discover passion, energy and joy and who was not. I wondered why some were so resistant while others wanted more.  This curiosity about the energy of “Flow”, of resistance VS embracing, is what led to the development of our River Map. As I was coaching with clients, the image of a river kept appearing to me. Fast flowing rapid change, calm stretches where it seems like you’re barely moving, eddies where you go nowhere, log jams that require outside help and waterfalls into the next level of the journey. Lights-On Learning was helping others by showing them where they were on their own river’s journey with tools to guide them along the way.
It was at his point that I decided to create written materials and graphical representations for use with clients during their coaching. It also turned out that I’d reached a log jam on my own river’s journey that seemed like the “dark night” of my own soul. My 28 year marriage was coming undone. I took time out from coaching and dove back into my own energy and passion by returning to my own vision map and getting back into flow. Then came doubt. After 28 years could I make it on my own? Could I engage a totally new team and run this all by myself. Would I be alone from this point on or would I attract a love that would light me up? My Monkey Mind was chattering non-stop. I moved from doubt to worry and back to doubt. Luckily I had found a way (the Lights-On learning Method) to stay true to my own vision, energy and passion.

Ending the marriage was difficult; a major disruption. I moved from my home of 30 years, had to get my son into a new school and create a new way to activate my vision for teaching others about living Lights-On.  By becoming an observer of what was happening and embracing the log jams and eddies I was able to learn and embrace gratitude for all the lessons presented.  The journey to spiritual change was worth it.  Two years later I was introduced to the man who would become my partner for life. I entered the relationship from a place of new perspectives. We married and as synchronicity has a wonderful way of working, Gary is also a coach and has joined Clarity International as a partner. We live and work together, and clients often remark that we are modeling a powerful way for men and women to be in the world.

Thanks to the tools to check my own energy and intentions, I was clear about my vision and I am clear that there are no “accidents” in this life. With Gary as my partner, and our 2 rescue dogs, I have plunged again into a new destiny on my own river and began a new spiral upward.

What does it take to be an Illuminated Woman?

You may not face the exact same eddies and log jams along your river’s journey as I have, but with the courage to look at your life from the perspective of lights-on and make the changes necessary to create that energy,  you will find ways to enhance your relationships, both personal and business, by bringing to them more energy, passion and joy. You can create flow in your life and live Lights-On.

Why should every woman you know be at this event?

This will provide the retreat time necessary to step away from the day-to-day distractions, learn and grow, and see your life from a new perspective. Sometimes the best strategy to advance is to retreat.

What tips do you have to be an Illuminated Woman?

Start by creating a vision for your ideal life making sure that it is lights-on/energized, and put that on a vision map. Then see what areas, if any, are out of alignment to your vision, and begin immediately to create strategies for doing less of what is lights-off/draining, and more lights-on/energized. Be creative and access the field of all possibility!

What do you do daily to seek Illumination?

I utilize two rituals– one is the daily  check-in with 5 key points to review (including gratitude & intention) to set my personal energy field before getting involved in the day’s activities, The second is my exercise program which I do 6 days a week – 2 days of strength (yoga & gyrotonics) and 4 days of aerobic (treadmill, bike, walk). These I do in the morning, no matter how busy the day is, and then start my coaching at 10 AM. I love the 10AM start to business because I am an entrepreneur and can choose to design my day in a way that lights me up……….and 10 AM works.

Find the time and space to focus your thoughts on your project, yourself, your family. For me, that is often found while riding on a bike.

I love to create. I keep a journal of ideas and things that inspire me. I enjoy looking back on them afterward for inspiration.
