My name is Amber Griffiths and I am founder of AGDesign. I am a graphic designer and marketing specialist and I help businesses grow their bottom line through effective, affordable marketing strategies. I have been making businesses look good via print and web for more than eleven years and I absolutely love my job, my life, my world.
I am married and I have two dogs and two ferrets. Although I consider myself a “dog person” I still cling to a very strict rule of no clothing for pets. I have a firm believer in creating my own sunshine which usually includes singing at the top of my lungs when I’m alone in my car – not the greatest acoustics but it works.
What does it take to be an Illuminated Woman?
Being Illuminated is being everything your heart tells you that you are without any apologies, to yourself or to anyone else. When you wake up in the morning, you are excited about your life; you spend the day smiling because you are being true to your inner genius; you can’t help but smile when you think of who you are and what you get to be, you are illuminated.
Why should every woman you know be at this event?
You just have to experience this! I have had the opportunity to meet and love the women of Biz Divas and that is for one night a month, for about three hours. When I think of how much that motivates me and how much that makes my soul sing, I can not imagine NOT participating on a much larger level at Ignite Your Spark conference. I can barely contain my excitement when I think of how huge this is going to be – both as an individual and as a woman in our society.
What tips do you have to be an Illuminated Woman?
Be very very clear of what you want – how will you know you’ve achieved IT if you don’t know what IT looks like? Surround yourself with women who support you and who you can support. Focus on the moments of true happiness and stop at nothing to create more of those moments every day until they all run together and you are in love with your life.
What do you do daily to seek Illumination?
Have “me” time – whether that’s a massage or a pedicure or 10 minutes alone in the shower, I allow myself the time to hold very still. Sometimes I think of the positive things I get to do that day, sometimes I clear my mind of all thought and focus on breathing. And again, I surround myself with truly illuminated women – women that are my sisters in empowerment.
